A very beautiful and exciting trip to Yunnan. Good and efficient HSR facilities. The beauty of nature and strong old buildings stand especially in the ancient city in all places of Shangri-la, Lijiang, Dali and Kunming. Cities and towns that are clean and the best for us are easy to get halal food for Muslims.

We had a customized tour with Travel China Guide, including a flight, 4 train journeys, and tours with an English-speaking guide and driver in Beijing, Zhangjiajie, Guilin, and Chengdu. We found the service excellent; they paid great attention to the customer and their needs. We didn't book our hotels with them, but we chose them based on our own preferences. The only thing to note is that excellent service like that doesn't need to be accompanied by insistence to get a good rating. We know full well that reviews are the basis of advertising these days, and they certainly deserve excellent ones, so I found the insistent requests from so many parties disappointing.

I travelled from Canada to China, visiting 5 cities in 9 days. Booked train tickets in advance. TCG system was easy to navigate, train choices were easy and inputting personal/passport info was straightforward. I was able to include seat preferences as well and they were accommodated. You submit a ticket request and a booking agent completes is on your behalf (usually minutes later, unless >2weeks out, in which case they will be issued when tickets released). Email communication with them is easy and responses are fast. I had a typo in my passport information and it was corrected ASAP. For travellers: There are many stations in some cities, and there are many types of trains (slow/rapid/express), so know what you want (and where you want to depart/arrive) before booking. Overall, strongly recommend the service.

I only used the company's service for train bookings so far. My experience is absolutely positive. We were a family of five and indicated our travel times more than three week in advance and got very good seats next to each other. We booked 1st class. Generally 2nd class is acceptable in Chinese trains, but in case you have a lot of luggage I'd recommend 1st class.

Book a high speed rail train from Chongqing to Chengdu, the staff that assist me in the booking of the train tickets is very helpful and efficient making the booking transaction seamless. The staff also able to converse in english which is a plus point. And staff also able provides alternative of train service when our original booking is full.
